RV Insurance Tennessee – Travel with Peace of Mind

Whether you’re cruising through the Smoky Mountains or settling in at a lakeside campsite near Morristown, your RV is more than just a vehicle—it’s a way of life. At Queener Insurance, we help you protect that lifestyle with flexible, reliable RV insurance in Tennessee. From Class A motorhomes to fifth-wheel campers, we’ll make sure you’re covered wherever the road leads.

Home on Wheels, Properly Protected

RVs blend the best of home and auto, which means they come with unique risks—and unique insurance needs. Standard auto or homeowners policies won’t fully cover the investment you've made in your camper or motorhome. That’s why dedicated RV insurance is essential for Tennesseans who love to explore. Whether your RV is used for weekend getaways or as your full-time residence, we’ll help you protect your rig, your gear, and your peace of mind.

Types of RVs We Cover

Not all RVs are created equal—and neither are the policies that protect them. We provide insurance for:

  • Class A, B & C motorhomes
  • Travel trailers & toy haulers
  • Fifth-wheel campers
  • Camper vans
  • Pop-up trailers
  • Full-time RV dwellers

Whether your vehicle is drivable or towed, we’ll tailor your coverage to match how you use it and where you take it.

Key RV Insurance Coverage Options

Your RV deserves protection both on the road and at the campground. Our policies can include:

  • Liability Coverage – Required for motorhomes on the road; covers bodily injury or property damage you may cause.

  • Comprehensive & Collision – Covers damage from accidents, storms, theft, falling trees, or even deer strikes on rural TN highways.

  • Contents Coverage – Protects personal belongings stored inside the RV—great for gear, tools, electronics, and more.

  • Vacation Liability – Covers incidents while your RV is parked and being used like a temporary home.

  • Emergency Expense – Helps cover costs like hotels or transportation if your RV becomes unusable while traveling.

  • Roadside Assistance – Towing or flat-tire help for your RV when you’re stranded far from home.

  • Accessory Coverage – Covers attached items like awnings, satellite dishes, and custom upgrades.

Full-Time RV Insurance for Tennessee Travelers

Living on the road full-time? You’ll need more than standard RV coverage. Full-timers insurance includes enhanced liability protection, personal effects coverage, and other features typically found in homeowners policies. We’ll help you find the right balance of protection and price for your mobile lifestyle—whether you're parked near Bean Station or crossing state lines.

RV Insurance Discounts That Add Up

We work hard to find ways to save you money, including:

  • Multi-policy discounts (RV + auto or home)
  • Good driving records
  • Claims-free history
  • Secure off-season storage
  • Anti-theft or safety devices

Let us compare options across carriers to make sure you’re getting the best value—without cutting corners on coverage.

Why RV Owners Across Morristown Choose Queener

You won’t find cookie-cutter coverage here. Our local team knows how to insure RVs because we live where you travel—from Douglas Lake to Dandridge. As independent agents, we shop across trusted carriers like Progressive and National General to match you with policies designed specifically for RVs, not just bolted onto an auto plan. We’ll walk you through your options and explain exactly what’s covered—so there are no surprises on the road.

Start Your RV Insurance Quote Today

Getting covered is easy. We’ll just need a few details about your RV: the make, model, year, length, usage (recreational or full-time), and where it’s stored. From there, we’ll find the right plan to protect your travels. Whether you’re parked for the season or prepping for a cross-country trip, we’ll help you roll with confidence.

  • Does my auto policy cover my travel trailer or do I need separate insurance?

Your auto liability will extend to a towed travel trailer for any damage you might cause to others while towing. However, your auto policy won’t cover damage to the trailer itself – for that, you need a separate RV/trailer policy. Also, if the trailer is parked and someone gets hurt in it or you have a fire in it at a campground, those scenarios are best covered by an RV policy. We recommend at least carrying comprehensive/collision on your trailer via an RV policy to protect it, even if liability while towing comes from your auto.

  • I only use my camper in the summer – can I insure it for part of the year?

We can’t “turn off” insurance completely for part of the year (since risks like theft or fire exist year-round), but insurers understand seasonal use. Many RV policies have an option to reduce coverage in the off-season or are priced based on an assumed number of usage months. We’ll make sure your policy reflects your usage pattern so you’re not overpaying when it’s in storage. Just don’t cancel entirely in winter – you’d hate to lose coverage if something happened while it’s parked.

  • What is vacation liability coverage?

Vacation liability is coverage that kicks in when your RV is parked and being used as a temporary residence (like at a campsite). It’s similar to homeowners liability. For example, if your campfire accidentally starts a fire that damages the campground or someone trips inside your parked RV and gets hurt, this would cover injuries or damages. It’s usually included in RV policies for those times when you’re not driving the RV but using it recreationally.

  • Do I need a special license or any particular requirements for insurance on a large motorhome?

In Tennessee, regular driver’s licenses are typically fine for RVs used for personal use (no commercial use). For insurance, the main requirement is that if it’s drivable, you must meet the state auto insurance requirements. When insuring a large Class A motorhome, we’ll likely recommend higher liability limits given the potential damage a big vehicle can cause. We might also suggest an umbrella policy on top. But no special license is needed for insurance purposes – just be honest about who drives it and if they have experience, as that can affect rates.

  • Will my belongings inside the RV be covered?

Yes, one advantage of an RV policy is that it can cover personal belongings inside (like camping gear, clothing, electronics, etc.), similar to how a homeowner’s policy would. We’ll set a limit for personal effects coverage on the policy. If you have especially costly items you carry (maybe a high-end camera or sports equipment), let us know so we ensure the coverage amount is sufficient. If you’re a full-timer, this coverage is even more important and we’d treat it more like insuring the contents of a home.
